Wave Money Mobilises to Support Earthquake-Affected Communities
In difficult times, practical support can make a real difference. As communities navigate the immediate aftermath of the earthquake, Wave Money is activating emergency financial support to ensure people can send, receive, and access money without barriers.
Wave Money is rolling out the following emergency relief measures across the country:
Free financial services
- No transfer fees for transactions to and from impacted areas
- Free cash withdrawals at designated Wave agents in affected zones
- Free transfers from selected agents in other regions
- Refunds for Wave account users on transfer fees for completed transactions to affected recipients
On-ground support in Mandalay, Sagaing, Nay Pyi Taw and Inly via Wave Care Center Mobile Vehicle
- Free cash-out services citywide during liquidity shortages
- Mobile top-ups to stay connected
- Help with opening new Wave accounts
