Job Location: The Campus, Hlaing Thar Yar Township, Yangon.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- To perform daily support of application systems, network and infrastructure to ensure system availability
- To provide assistance and liaise with users and Internal Level 3 support teams and vendors on all matters pertaining to application systems
- To perform Level 2 support by troubleshooting and tracking of reported issues of future mobile financial services business, including but not limited to; business applications, handset applications / customer channels and back-office systems, supporting the operations of the Wave Mobile Money System.
- To architect, develop, setup and implement integration and automation that improves the stability, scalability, availability and manual work reduction.
- To perform documentation update for application systems
- Work with the SRE Manager and Head of Technical Operations & Architecture to configure, deploy, manage and support a large fleet of systems for Wave Money.
- The successful candidate will participate in the roll-out of new cutting edge infrastructure and services throughout 2022 and 2023 and will be in an excellent position to advance to the position of team lead as we expand this new IT team.
- The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude and be ready to immerse themselves in new techniques and technologies. As with all infrastructure roles a certain amount of night time / outside of business hours work will be needed and the right candidate will have demonstrated the willingness to participate in such non-business hours activities.
- Willing to work in 24×7 support environment to attend and respond severity 1 incidents.

Experience, Functional Skills and Knowledge Areas
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, interpersonal & communication skills
- Experience in supporting various financial application system, middleware and mobile apps.
- Able to understand application and solution architecture.
- 3+ years Linux experience ideally with Redhat (RHCSA, RHCE a plus)
- 3+ years scripting experience (any of Bash/Perl/Python)
- 2+ years experience in
- Experience managing web servers (Apache etc)
- Experience managing application containers (any of Tomcat, Glassfish, etc)
- Experience in automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual work and risk
- Exposure to system hardening and other Linux security technologies
- Exposure to network firewall appliances (any of Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper, Palo Alto)
- Experience managing database (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL and etc)
- Experience managing systems in a cloud environment (eg AWS)
- Any experience or qualifications with networking and load balancer such as F5 (such as Cisco CCNA a plus)
- Ability to adhere to and assist to document and standardize processes around support procedures with Strong aptitude for process definition and implementing process improvement
