Job Location: The Campus, Pun Hlaing Estate, Hlaing Thar Yar Township, Yangon.
Working Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, (Monday to Friday)
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- To perform daily support of application systems, network and infrastructure to ensure system availability.
- To help and liaise with users and Internal Level 3 support teams and vendors on all matters pertaining to application systems.
- To perform Level 1 support by troubleshooting and tracking of reported issues of future mobile financial services business, including but not limited to: business applications, handset applications / customer channels and back-office systems, supporting the operations of the Wave Mobile Money System.
- To architect, develop, setup and implement integration and automation that improves stability, scalability, availability and manual work reduction.
- To perform documentation update for application systems
- Work with the SRE Manager and Director of Technical Operations & Architecture to configure, deploy, manage and support a large fleet of systems for Wave Money.
- As with all infrastructure roles a certain amount of nighttime / outside of business hours work will be needed and the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate the willingness to participate in such non-business hours activities.
- Willing to work in 24×7 support environment to attend and respond severity 1 incidents.

Experience, Functional Skills and Knowledge Areas
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, interpersonal & communication skills
- Experience in supporting various financial application system, middleware and mobile apps.
- Able to understand application and solution architecture.
- 3+ years Linux experience ideally with Redhat (RHCSA, RHCE a plus)
- 3+ years scripting experience (any of Bash/Perl/Python)
- 2+ years experience in
- Experience managing web servers (Apache etc)
- Experience managing application containers (any of Tomcat, Glassfish, etc)
- Experience in automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual work and risk
- Exposure to system hardening and other Linux security technologies
- Exposure to network firewall appliances (any of Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper, Palo Alto)
- Experience managing database (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL and etc)
- Experience managing systems in a cloud environment (eg AWS)
- Any experience or qualifications with networking and load balancer such as F5 (such as Cisco CCNA a plus)
- Ability to adhere to and assist to document and standardize processes around support procedures with Strong aptitude for process definition and implementing process improvement
