Senior Marketing Specialist (Chinese Proficiency)

Job Location: The Campus, Pun Hlaing Estate, Hlaing Thar Yar Township, Yangon.

Working Hours: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, (Monday to Friday)

Position Purpose

Responsible for translating and creating push notifications, in-app messages, social media content, Website and other marketing materials. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of digital communication, mobile apps, and user engagement strategies to ensure clear, engaging, and culturally relevant messaging for the Chinese-speaking audience.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities 

  • Translate push notifications, in-app messages, banners, and promotional content from Myanmar to Chinese to English while maintaining clarity, conciseness, and engagement.
  • Adapt social media posts, website contents, advertisements for the Chinese-speaking market, ensuring cultural sensitivity and brand consistency.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and UX/UI teams to optimize translated content for user engagement and conversion.
  • Conduct proofreading and quality checks to ensure grammatical accuracy, tone consistency, and language accuracy.
  • Stay updated on market trends, app language evolution, and user preferences to refine messaging for the target audience.
  • Ensure translations align with brand voice, compliance requirements, and localization best practices.
  • Test and review push notifications and in-app messages for readability and device compatibility

Job Requirements

Experience, Functional Skills and Knowledge Areas 

  • Fluent in Chinese, English and Myanmar.
  • 2+ years of experience in translation/localization, preferably in app-based notifications, digital marketing, fintech, or e-commerce.
  • Strong understanding of mobiles pushes notification practices and engagement strategies.
  • Ability to write concise, compelling, and action-driven messages within character limits.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of consumer behavior, payment services, and digital finance is an advantage.
