Position Purpose
Wave Money is looking for highly motivated and passionate Senior Information Security Manager. Senior Information Security Manager will be part of the Wave Money IT Security team and responsible for overseeing Wave Money information security program, ensuring that Wave Money IT Infrastructure, and Sensitive Information are protected in a secured manner. This role involves strategy development, risk management, and leadership in implementing security best practices and will play an important role in driving Information & Cyber Security transformation of Wave Money.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead security governance programs, ensuring compliance against the internal Information Security policies, standards, and procedures and external compliance requirements.
- Oversee security operations teams responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents and ensuring the root causes of all IT Security events are identified and remediated in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all risk assessments and risk treatment plans are implemented correctly to demonstrate due diligence in addressing the Information Security and Cyber Security Resiliency concerns.
- Communicate and report the potential impact of technology and security risks to stakeholders and Risk Management team.
- Develop and oversee the business continuity and disaster recovery plans for security incidents.
- Conduct security drills and tabletop exercises to attest the organization’s resilience against cyber threats.
- Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and cybersecurity communities to stay ahead of emerging threats.
- Lead and mentor security team members, ensuring continuous skill development.
- Review and monitor Security Access and Systems, threat trends.
- Keep up with the latest vulnerabilities and malware outbreaks proactively and provide security advisory and recommend resolutions for security threats and vulnerabilities.

Job Requirements
Experience, Functional Skills and Knowledge Areas
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT related field, or equivalent experience
- Security Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC or any other similar credentials will be an added advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management and crisis management skills.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience, including minimum 4 years of leadership role in IT Security area of
- Security Operations
- Security Design and Testing
- Security Governance, Risk and Compliance
- Knowledge in Security Standards and practices such as ISO/IEC 27001/2013, ISF Good Practice for Information Security 2018/2020, GDPR, PCI-DSS and OWASP.
- Sound knowledge in Security and Risk Management, Security Architecture and Engineering, Application and Platform Security, Security Operations.
- Able to communicate and co-ordinate in an effective and efficient manner.
- Able to work as a strong team player, work independently and can drive the team cohesively.
- Relevant experience in Financial Institution will be a plus.
